Products

1. How should I defrost frozen seafood products?

We recommend defrosting product with an ice water brine, additionally product can be defrosted overnight in the fridge, or more rapidly by placing product in a sealed bag under circulating water.

2. Can I purchase Live Bay Lobster/bugs?

We often have live Bay Lobster available for purchase, please contact us for more information.

3. Where does the product come from?

All of our products are Australian, wild caught or farmed. The source of our products is listed in the individual production information on the shop. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to contact us.

4. Can I customise the contents of the seafood boxes?

We will endeavour to accommodate substitution requests, please contact us for more information.

5. How do I store my product?

Products are frozen on the fishing vessels then supplied by ABLP directly to restaurants and customers with limited handling. Feel free to keep the product in your freezer for up to 6 months with retained quality.

6. Can I order softshell product?

We hope to be able to offer our soft shell products to consumers in late 2022!

Deliveries

7. Do I need to be home to receive my order?

For live product orders, we will require product to be received. For frozen orders, our drivers will endeavour leave your order in a safe and shaded location. Product should not be left unattended for more than 6 hours.

8. Where does ABLP deliver?

ABLP currently deliver to postcodes within the Northern Rivers (NSW), the Gold Coast (QLD), and central Brisbane (QLD).

9. Do you deliver to apartments?

Yes, please add delivery instructions to your order (e.g: ‘Please call unit 1’ or ‘Please leave in mail room’.

10. When will I receive my order?

We currently have fixed delivery days for the different postcodes we deliver to. During the ordering process you will be prompted to select from the available delivery days for your postcode.
